Execution is the multiplier of ideas. Products can live or die based on how well teams nail the details. I always stay close to the work - as a sponsor and road-clearer, as a guide with broad context, and even as a hands-on contributor.

CARBON DATA COLLECTION FOR INDIGO

In collaboration with teams that had already built a web version of Carbon data collection, Holly rapidly developed designs for a native mobile equivalent. I worked with her to push beyond the mobile web version that already existed, refining workflows and leveraging native patterns and capabilities.


The resulting release was an early success, farmers were able to rapidly complete complex data entry from the seat of their tractor. Farmers using the native app were 53% more likely to complete final filing. Many of the new features from the native app were rolled back across to the mobile and desktop web product.

Getting farmers to change their practices to change the way they farm, in order to sequester carbon from the atmosphere into their soil is no easy task. Indigo had learned that farmers wouldn't make the switch unless they felt comfortable with the full financial, agronomic and operational plan for this new way of farming.
